Butterfly
Butterfly
a MariMa-symbol, a poem and an analogy.
The butterfly represents the symbol of change from the crawling, mostly unattractive caterpillar to a wonderful being that is floating through sunny days with incomparable ease and enjoying human beings with its colourful beauty.
Who does not know the expression "having butterflies in the belly"? Which condition does this sentence describe? It describes a condition, in which we are feeling extremely well, something begins to tingle in us from that we otherwise do not know that it is HERE. Butterflies in the belly we are always having then, when something or somebody touches our soul ...
Our soul is our BEING, which is seeking for expression through our body, our personality and our life here on this earth or even on other planets.
The children-symbols of ANIMA remind us again of all the wonderful soul-qualities that we all - without exception - carry in us and are our own. These soul-qualities never can get lost, they only lie idle - we have forgotten them. But they are here for us in each moment, we only have to do one thing - we have to live them.
Therefore the MariMa-symbols were given to us. These symbols help us to transform all potential in us, integrate them in life and to really BE our soul-qualities in everyday life.
Once we look at the metamorphoses of a butterfly from a caterpillar to the full display of its beauty, we may also take it as an allegory for our soul. In the ugly caterpillar that we believe to see, there is this wonderful and perfect butterfly. The caterpillar already IS all this beauty, but the metamorphoses did not happen yet.
That is meant, when the MariMa symbols speak to us. They ask us, to finally transform the inner beauty of the caterpillar, to really live our soul-qualities. Not until we DO, hearing the messages of our soul in everyday life, let happen and LIVE, the inner beauty of our soul will find its visible display.
Each of us has to walk his personal path, undergo his development, no path is better or more beautiful or more perfect than the one of somebody else. And each path ends with our display to a beautiful butterfly, which in any case is only waiting to become visible for all other human beings ...
Butterfly, Butterfly
You carry the world inside yourself.
This line describes our being connected to all that is. In each of us, the whole world is enclosed as well. There is no pain, no harm anywhere, just as well joy and luck that does not concern all of us, living here on this planet. Therefore each of us is not only responsible for his own DOING and ACTING or NOT-DOING but we have responsibility for all that is - you carry the world inside yourself.
When I captured your dream, I knew about you and me.
No soul does exist for its own. All souls are connected with each other and when we let this knowledge into our life, then there open many facilities for our own growth. However we should never forget that another soul can only give to us, what we are willing to give ourselves. But it is a wonderful chance to learn, we can find completion, develop ourselves mutually, bring forward ... becoming a butterfly ...
The caterpillar transforms...
Has it fed enough, the earth gets queer
What can this possibly mean? We have to acknowledge that we eventually have "enough" of earthly goods and material property or to say in a different way that we arrive here without material possession and also have to leave this earth without it.
Our wings are not forgotten ...
Once we remember that it is time to leave the stage of the greedy caterpillar, once we complete this transformation, we are allowed to fly ...
This can only happen through our unselfish turning to our near one, through our daily giving doing in everyday life, through the perception that we are connected with all human beings, that all what exists, needs our appreciation and care.
Not till then our souls will fly like butterflies in the lightness of BEING, then we have made ourselves free ... ...
